Does the Clone Hero download come with songs?
Clone Hero can load custom charts, but downloading the game does not mean that every Guitar Hero, Rock Band or commercial music catalog is included. A playable song folder normally contains chart data such as notes.mid or notes.chart, metadata in song.ini, and audio files. Those components must stay together inside a song folder for the scanner to recognize the track.

What you need to play Clone Hero
The official site describes support for five-fret and six-fret guitar controllers, MIDI drum kits, ordinary game controllers and keyboard input. Compatibility depends on the controller, adapter, operating system and driver. Before buying an old guitar, confirm the exact console model and the adapter path other players use with your computer.
Clone Hero supports local play, online multiplayer and global leaderboards, but you can begin offline with a keyboard.
